On April 26, the new book Deciphering Automobile Quality Codes-A Ten Year Observation of Chinese Automobile Quality(2011-2020), compiled by Car Quality Network and Car Research, was first released in Beijing. It is the first to comprehensively record the 10-year quality system reform of Chinese auto industry and systematically sort out the process of auto quality supervision. It is an authoritative literature that comprehensively summarizes the new normal of quality disputes, and also a reference of high value for enterprises to improve their product quality and perfect their quality feedback systems.
In the first quarter of this year, Chin’s auto market has got off to such a good start as in 2021, with an increase in market concentration ratio. Tang Weiguo, chairman and president of Car Quality Network and Car Research, noted that over the past ten years, China’s auto market has formed a unique demand structure, which is reflected in the trend of complaint volume on www.12365auto.com and in the big number of more than 100,000 annual valid complaints handled on this platform for the first time in 2021. The uniqueness has helped accelerate the formation of a healthy ecology of “good money drives out bad” in the auto market, where the defeated were more or less hindered by their poor quality performance. Enterprises are now faced with multiple challenges such as the epidemic, shortage of parts, rising raw material prices and consumption upgrading, but underpinning a solid foundation with high-quality products will be of help for enterprises to cope with these challenges and achieve new growth.
Tang Weiguo, chairman and president of Car Quality Network & Car Research
China Passenger Car Association secretary-general Cui Dongshu indicated that, from 2011 to 2020, significant improvements have been made in quality and quantity of automobile product. In addition, the activation of the NEV consumption potentiality has driven the share of China’s auto market in the global market to increase from 25% to 32%, which is expected to reach 36% in 2022.
