The 2024 China Auto Product Quality Trend Symposium to be Held in Beijing

Issue date:2024-02-22 17:30Editor:Leon

The intensity of multidimensional competition within the auto industry chain, business ecosystem, and technological research and development is on the rise. The arms race-style accumulation of software and hardware has led to a significant narrowing of OEMs’ gross profit margins, and has further complicated consumer feedback on quality and the corresponding response mechanisms of enterprises.

On March 6, 2024, Car Quality Network(www.12365auto.com), a leading domestic platform for collecting information on defective automotive products, in collaboration with Car Research Consulting, will stage the 2024 China Auto Product Quality Trend Symposium in Beijing, at which significant research reports on product quality will be released and the mainstream domestic vehicle and component manufactures will be invited to participate and engage in in-depth discussions on hot topics related to car quality.

Throughout the year of 2023, the total number of valid complaints filed by genuine customers and received by Car Quality Network's back-end system totaled nearly 170,000 cases. Given that, questions are raised like: Which intelligent electric features were most prone to malfunction? And which brands and models were the prime targets of these complaints? Through data analysis and interpretation of typical cases, the organizer is going to reveal for the first time the underlying patterns and rankings of customer complaints regarding car quality and service in 2023.

Besides, Car Research will unveil “China Automotive Product Quality Trend Analysis 2024” at the meeting. The report conducts a deep dive into the big data of quality complaints in recent years, combined with the product evaluation database, to sort out the changes, identify reasons for the complaints and gain insights into the trends, in the hope of providing a fresh perspective on quality assessment and a new reference for innovation scenarios in the backdrop of heightened focus on user experience.

The discussion session of the meeting focuses on the market performance and consumer feedback of domestic auto brands. In 2023, multiple products were "trapped" in OTA upgrade issues, while some products were questioned for inconsistent vehicle configurations with their promotion. Some models also “fell over” at the low threshold of quality issues such as body rust and seat deformation. In 2024, the multi-dimensionality and complexity of consumer complaints is going to keep intensifying. So what new challenges do these changes bring to enterprises? How should they respond to more diverse and changing feedback from consumers with Chinese brands accounting for more than 50% of the market share and the number of their complaints increasing by more than 35%? Enterprises in attendance will discuss these issues on site.

The auto industry in 2024 will undergo intense “involution”. Enterprises need to not only prioritize enhancing key aspects of general competitiveness, such as hardware quality and software iteration, as well as the continuous optimization of intelligent experience and driving experience so as to establish a solid foundation for their products, ensuring they remain competitive in the fierce industry rivalry.

On March 6, 2024, let's meet in Beijing to identify the new factors of car quality experience and construct new paths for quality improvement.
