Against the backdrop of increasingly homogenized automotive products and social media’s amplification of the smallest imperfections, perceived quality is becoming a decisive factor in consumer decision-making and brand reputation. To help automakers turn meticulous attention to detail into a competitive edge, the "Automotive Perceived Quality Development & Evaluation Training Symposium" was successfully held in Beijing from May 21 to 22, 2026. The event was co-organized by Car Research, Car Quality Network and veteran experts specializing in automotive perceived quality evaluation and user experience.

The training attracted engineering, quality, and management professionals from multiple automotive OEMs. Over the two-day program, they engaged in systematic learning and in-depth discussions centered on topics such as the definition of perceived quality, full-process pain points, development workflows, and evaluation criteria.

During the training and exchange sessions, seasoned experts shared their experience in perceived quality evaluation and hands-on assessment. Centered on practical application, the curriculum featured modules such as core components of perceived quality and pain point analysis, the current state and trends of perceived quality in new energy vehicles, development processes for perceived quality experience, methods for establishing and implementing experience standards, multi-dimensional typical problem cases (exterior quality, seat comfort, ergonomics, lighting quality, etc.), data evaluation, and real-vehicle review. With equal emphasis on theory and case-based exercises, the program enabled participants to systematically master the complete evaluation methodology—from data review to in-vehicle experience. The training also included a special visit to the Xiaomi factory, where attendees observed cutting-edge manufacturing processes and on-site quality control practices firsthand.

Many participants noted that the training—spanning everything from benchmark case studies and data evaluations to hands-on vehicle experience—was immediately actionable at every stage. They gained particularly deep insights into perceived quality standards, data analysis, and functional experience, describing the content as highly practical guidance for aligning R&D with quality work in their daily roles.

As consumers' expectations for meticulous detail continue to rise, perceived quality has become a critical competitive moat for building product market strength. Going forward, Car Research and Car Quality Network will keep sharpening their cutting-edge capabilities in automotive quality, joining forces with more industry partners to drive deep integration of perceived quality management across R&D, manufacturing, and service.
